Our Story

We’ve made art for as long as we can remember. It’s a passion. A way of life for us. As a small family art studio (we have two young daughters), we love creating beautiful pottery for your home.

todd-stephensTodd…grew up on Bainbridge Island in Puget Sound. He then went on to study Liberal Arts at Western Washington University and abroad at the University of Amsterdam. The result: a profound appreciation of nature, art, and Washington State teaching certificate.
Todd enjoys creating distinctive art pieces for the home and teaching clay art classes in local public schools.

Sarah StephensSarah…comes from a family lineage of artisans, which originated in England. She studied at The Evergreen State College and further
developed her artistic talents at the Pratt Fine Arts Center in Seattle.

Imagery and experiences from her travels in Europe, Central and South America as well as the American West strongly influence her work.

Todd and Sarah established Millbrook Clayworks in 2008, and remain dedicated to making beautiful and durable stoneware pottery for the home through environmentally sustainable practices.
